Due to limited travel time, we only schedule Surabaya as a transit station, and we only have around 3 hours around Surabaya Gubeng train station before our train to Banyuwangi (Sri Tanjung).
We decided to pay a short visit to Monumen Kapal Selam Surabaya which is just 10 minutes walking distance from Surabaya Gubeng train station. It is a full scale submarine name KRI Pasopati 410 which in service for Indonesia Angkatan Laut since January 1962. You can preview the actual interior of a submarine here, and one thing that amaze us is the size of an actual torpedo, which was very huge! The room is really limited and is not easy to navigate around the submarine. We spend around an hour navigate around and took some photos here.

Bonus: With limited time, we have a quick lunch in Yoshinoya, Plaza Surabaya which is just beside of Kapal Selam Monumen by ordering a Black Pepper Chicken Rice which is simple but is amazingly good! Have a try if you happen to be around!
